01 / THE SERVICE

Prioritize people and immediate safety

Keep away from standing water near electrical equipment. Do not enter an unsafe room or attempt an electrical shutoff while standing in water. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services. If you smell gas, leave the area and follow your gas utility’s emergency instructions from a safe location; do not investigate equipment yourself.

02 / THE SERVICE

Active water leakage

If you already know how to safely operate the relevant household water shutoff, stopping the water supply may limit further escape. Do not force an unfamiliar valve or enter a hazardous area to reach it. Contact a real operating provider or your utility as appropriate. A burst pipe and a dripping fixture can require very different responses.

03 / THE SERVICE

Wastewater backing up

Stop using affected fixtures when sewage is returning into the home. Keep children and pets away from contaminated areas and seek professional help. Adding more water or drain chemicals is not a substitute for addressing the blockage and contamination. Tell the provider whether multiple fixtures are involved.

04 / THE SERVICE

After-hours calls need confirmation

An online request is not proof of dispatch. Ask an actual provider whether the request has been received, whether it serves the location and whether someone is available to attend. Confirm any callout terms before authorizing work. Availability and travel time should never be inferred from a service-page headline.

05 / THE SERVICE

Atlas cannot respond to emergencies

This website has no emergency dispatch, service phone, or field crew. For urgent issues, contact emergency services, your utility, or a licensed operating provider directly.

Common questions

Service questions, answered.

Is no hot water always an emergency?

Not always. Active leakage, unsafe equipment or household circumstances may change the urgency. A qualified provider should assess the actual situation.

Does submitting an online request guarantee a technician?

No. Receipt, acceptance and an appointment are separate steps. Confirm them directly with an operating provider.
